Teach For Armenia Educational Foundation (hereinafter: Foundation or we) respect your privacy, and we are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. By using our website, you are signifying your agreement to the terms of this privacy policy.
The General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) is a European Regulation concerning the use and processing of personal information. We are committed to processing your information in compliance with the GDPR upon its effectiveness on May 25, 2018.

What information we collect
When you make a donation to Armenia Education Foundation via our website, here, or offline, we will ask for your name, phone number, e-mail address, residence or registration address, and other similar information.
We also ask for your name and e-mail address when you sign up for our newsletter.
You may be asked for additional information such as credit card number by third party platforms; we do not have access to such information, and this would be subject to the terms and policies of those third-party platforms.
Our website may also automatically collect information from you and track your use of the website by certain information collection and tracking technologies, such as cookies. We may also automatically collect information about your mobile device and internet connection, as well real-time information about the location of your device. We may also record the IP addresses of all visitors to our website. Certain features may be opted out of.
Certain of the information that we collect may be personally identifiable (such as your name and phone number). Other pieces of information, however, may be aggregated in order to improve the features and functionality of the website and better serve our community.
How we collect your information
We either ask you for your information (for example, through sign-up, registration and contact[5] [SK6] forms) or we use certain technologies to automatically collect and track information (for example, through Google Analytics, Squarespace Analytics).
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to track our funding, send donation acknowledgement letters, and thank-you notes, add you to our mailing list, and to include your information in our promotional material, such as our Quarterly and Annual Reports, Financial and Audit Reports. By providing a donation to Teach For Armenia, you agree that we may use your personal information, along with the amount of your contribution, unless you prefer to remain anonymous and opt out.
We also use this information for general operational purposes, such as to provide you with our website and its contents, and any other information which you may request from us, to fulfill any other purpose for which you provide the information, to send you notices and messages or otherwise contact you, to diagnose problems with our server, to administer our website, to analyze trends, to track user movement, to gather broad demographic information, and to carry out our obligations and exercise our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
Information that we collect on website usage helps us to improve the website and to better serve our community by enabling us to estimate our audience size and usage patterns, store information about your preferences (allowing us to customize the website according to your individual interests), speed up your searches, and recognize you when you use the website.
We may also use this information to display or send certain announcements from third party partners to their target audiences. Even though we will not disclose your personal information for these purposes to them without your consent, if you click on or otherwise interact with the announcement, the third-party partner may assume that you meet its target criteria.
Whom do we disclose your information to
In addition to the above, we may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide to staff members, board of trustees, contractors, and service providers of Teach For Armenia. We may also disclose your information to certain like-minded organizations, such as Friends of Teach For Armenia, Inc., a California non-profit entity, including their staff members, contractors, and service providers. We may also need to disclose this personal information to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request or if we believe it’s necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Teach For Armenia, our donors, and our visitors.
We may also disclose aggregated information about our visitors and donors, and information that does not identify any individual or entity, without restriction.
Other than as stated here, we will not disclose your personal information to other third parties.
We consider the confidentiality and security of your information to be of the utmost importance. We will keep your Personal Information private and will not share it with third parties, except as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy, or unless we have a good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary in special cases, such as a physical threat to you or others. Teach For Armenia takes reasonable measures to protect your Personally Identifiable Information from disclosure to or access by third parties. Please note that we do not guarantee the security of Personally Identifiable Information, and there is some risk that an unauthorized third party may find a way to circumvent our security systems or that transmissions of your information over the internet will be intercepted.
